I was a competitive athlete as a child and throughout my high school years. This experience cultivated an intense body awareness as I worked through Sprained ankles, back pain, and concussions.

In high school I was a go to figure on my team to help tape injuries and advise teammates in appropriate stretching and self massage techniques.  It was not a huge surprise that I studied health and anatomy in university and eventually found yoga which shifted my personal path from injury based medicine to a holistic wellness focus.   After graduating with a BS in Health Studies from Boston University I took the leap into massage therapy school the following fall.  Using my in-depth anatomical knowledge and hands-on skills I found myself thriving as a massage therapist in the greater Boston area. I eagerly took my first yoga teacher training and Thai massage courses in 2010 and soon found myself in India and Thailand studying yoga therapy and Thai massage, respectively.  Upon returning to Boston in 2011, I created Tivoli MindBody, teaching yoga classes and workshops in Thai Massage and self care, as well as offering a full array of massage and bodywork options at Be In Union (Somerville, MA).  Unfortunately, later that year I was in an accident and was forced to take a break and allow my injuries to heal.  At this time I began volunteering at Brigham and Women's Hospital offering Reiki to patients.  This experience gave my first hand evidence of the power of Reiki and therapeutic presence.

I returned to work with caution and in early 2013 accepted a temporary position with Un Cruise Adventures (Seattle, WA) as a wellness instructor, teaching yoga and giving massages on a small vessel on the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.  Later that same year I moved to beautiful Western Massachusetts to work at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health (Stockbridge, MA) in their renown healing arts department.  The three years spent there were amazing.  Outside of the landscape, I found myself surrounded by leaders in the massage/yoga/mindfulness community and went through a bodywork and yoga renaissance.  I took several continuing education courses (please see Education section) developing as a human being, massage therapist, energy worker, and yoga instructor.  I also continued my work with Reiki Healing, volunteering at Berkshire Medical Center. There, I was placed at the out-patient cancer center and would offer sessions to patients while receiving their chemotherapy.  Again, I was blown away at the therapeutic effects of this service, many patients requesting the service week after week to help decrease stress and pain and improve sleep and appetite.

In March 2017 I moved out to Seattle, WA.  My exuberant nature and willingness to jump into life with two feet has always lead me to interesting opportunities and I am excited to build a life out here. Most recently, I graduated from UW as a nurse! I currently am offering limited hours out of a beautiful space in the Ballard/Frelard area where I offer Thai Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki Healing, and private yoga sessions (please see services).  I am also available to come to you! I am happy to provide services in-home or at a skilled nursing or medical facility.

May the journey continue...
